Definitely an excellent product. It is truly a family heirloom passed down from generation to generation. Better than any poultry shears I've found in supermarkets or kitchen supply stores. Nothing comparable in function. I often make two things that require these scissors: beer can chicken and turkey. Both require a tool that can cut through meat, gristle, and bone in one cut, and this kitchen tool does it easily, cleanly, and safely. At the same time, I have large, strong hands and fingers. However, the blades are spring-loaded, so all you have to do is squeeze and release. I like the design and construction. I don't know exactly what the handles are made of, but I'm sure it's some kind of durable plastic.
