Review on 🛠️ FEL-PRO HS 26158 PT-2 Head Gasket Set - Premium Quality for Reliable Engine Performance by Tanner Miller

I bought this head gasket kit for my 2000 Toyota Celica GT for valve work. Cylinder head gasket, cylinder head cover gasket and exhaust manifold gasket fit without any problems. But the valve stem seals (of which there are 32 in this set, only 16 are needed). The machine shop used 16 gaskets and my mechanic reassembled the head (6 hours of work by my mechanic) only to find it was leaking badly (obviously wrong sized gaskets). It burned 5 liters of new Mobil 1 10W30 synthetic oil in less than 200 miles (good thing I checked the oil in between and topped up to keep the engine running). The injector seals were also the wrong size. Had to pay a lot of money at Autozone ($11 for a set of injectors = $44). Bought new correct size valve stem seals ($32). Removed the head (3 hours by my mechanic), replaced the gaskets and reinstalled the head. Added new synthetic oil and Mobil 1 coolant ($40). Now my celica is working fine and eating more oil. I've heard that Fel-Pro is a reliable brand, but in my experience it's been a disaster. Not only did the wrong gaskets in the kit cost me extra dollars for gaskets that had to be the right size, but I had to pay my mechanic an additional $300 for having to do the same job twice. Fel-Pro is in dire need of better quality control. I hope that Fel-Pro will receive this rating and take action to control the quality of the packaging.
