The instructions included with the device are for Chamberlain garage door openers. I have a LiftMaster MyQ Security 2.0 system and was initially stuck following the instructions provided. However, I have learned to successfully program the device using the LiftMaster system; Follow the instructions on the inside of the remote control cover, ie 1. Press and hold the * and # keys until the indicators on the keyboard stop flashing2. Enter a four-digit PIN3. Press button #4. Depending on the type of garage door opener, press the ENTER button several times (on the LiftMaster MyQ this means ONCE). This is where the instructions change - I ended up sketching the instructions for how they worked for me: 5. Slowly press and release the learn button TWICE6. Press and release the "0" key.6. Enter your PIN, then press ENTER and release until the garage door opener lights flash (or hear two clicks or both), I only had to press ENTER once. That should work.
