I've been using Toddy for about a year. It was definitely smoother than hot brewed coffee. I added lots of chocolate syrup and drank with ice. I had to quit smoking when I got cancer (now in remission) and I had to cut sugar. So I went back to regular coffee with sugar-free French custard and a tiny scoop of stevia. I wanted to try cold brewing again but punch is expensive and a bit awkward. I'm so glad I found her. I've already made three 1/2 gallon jugs. I use two bags 3/4 full as other reviewers have recommended and the coffee is perfect! I forgot how much better cold coffee tastes. I use 3/4 cup of store bought regular ground coffee in each bag. I found a 1/4 cup round measuring cup that makes filling bags easier. I just tie the rope and don't bother wrapping it and there wasn't a set in my coffee. I leave it in the fridge for 48 hours. I wring out the bags as I take them out and pour the water into the pitcher. And just throw away the bags - no daily cleaning of the coffee machine! In the morning I make a bigger cup of coffee than before with hot coffee and only need 1/2 stevia and 2/3 heavy cream. Maybe not as good as chocolate syrup, but almost and a lot better for you. Note. I've tried two different chocolate stevia powders, but neither dissolve very well in cold coffee.
