I have this in black. The build quality of my device is so terrible I have to post. Slow read around 50MB/s in CrystalMark. It seems that you have to be VERY careful when connecting and installing. If it is off, you will get disk sector errors. I've reinstalled it several times. From about 7 installations everything worked correctly for me once. Most of the time reads 50MBps. Failed only a few times, I couldn't even format the drive with so many sector errors. Now it reads well. I'm using all the original cables, screws, etc. I'm connected to a 3.1 Gen 2 port with the correct drivers. The heat management on this device is the worst. A ventilation in the front. I set it to 59 degrees Celsius and removed the lid. Mine goes back to the past. The drive had no sector errors after many failed to format by Windows. Maybe quality and reliability. I've bought Startech since they started business sometime in the mid 90's. That's a bad choice.
