This is a nice leather and not too rough on the bottom (flesh side) but I would recommend it depending on what you are going to do with it. I was very good at cutting it with a knife, but I couldn't shape or stretch it. I managed to sand and finish the edges well. I was able to get deep stamps with it, but not much polished color with stamps. I have to think about what to use it for next time.
