In the past I have only used orange pads after sanding our boat's gelcoat which needed to remove a lot of oxidation. I would use at least half a dozen foam pads, but these microfiber pads can do an entire 18 foot boat, maybe two. Simply use a water hose with a nozzle to clean approximately three 2-foot square sections, place back on the polisher and spin at high speed for 10-15 seconds to remove excess water. I find that slightly damp microfiber pads require almost no re-polishing and re-running, saving time and money. Run them at the most comfortable speed on a 21mm buff in combination with the M105 and the gelcoat will quickly come to life and become stunningly beautiful. again!
