Review on πŸš— EBC Brakes DP2828 Greenstuff 2000 Series Sport Performance Brake Pads by Shawn Schmidt

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Highly recommended for mountain trips.

These insoles stand up well to the cold. They are very light on the rotors and quiet. However, Green Stuff pads are quite dusty compared to metal or factory pads and wear out faster than OEM pads. If you ride in the mountains where the brakes can smell, the warmer temperatures will melt the factory pads' adhesive and allow it to adhere to the rotor. This patch of glue causes uneven braking, that is, rhythmically at wheel speed. With EBC Green Stuff pads you can expose the brake disc to very high temperatures without burning the pad. I've measured disc temperatures as high as 900Β°F with no issues with the pads. At these temperatures some will fade but the adhesive will not transfer to the disc. You can repeatedly heat these pads to a temperature where a strong smell of gas will come out of the pad without burning the pad. Highly recommended for mountain riding or mixed use on roads and light trails.
