** Warning: Do not buy this scanner. ** A simple network scan cannot be performed without running the software.
I bought this scanner because I thought it could do a simple scan of shared network folders over a wired or wireless network. IT CANNOT. You must use their software and it must be running at all times for the scanner to work. Our old-school Canon scanner was able to do the job. Do not buy!
