This polisher is pretty handy and light weight. I am able to use this to wax my whole car with a single battery. There are 5 speed settings. Red is the slowest. Blue is the fastest. I use the orange and first green setting for the whole waxing job. The last 2 setting spin too fast for my application. The car wax will spin out of the sponge at high speed and make a mess. As for the noise, I would say the highest speed is a bit loud but tolerable for short usage. I do suggest using the ear plug for long period of use. The medium speed noise is acceptable, doesn't bother me a bit. I have looked into more expensive polisher, but those are close to $300 range. Since I don't do polishing all the time, so I give Kimo a try. It turns out ok for me.
