Review on Heavy-Duty Turner With 3" Blade And 5" Blade Length - American Metalcraft PS197 by Chris Crisler

Mixed Feelings About the American Metalcraft PS197

At first glance, the American Metalcraft PS197 seems like a strong and reliable tool. Its heavy-duty construction makes it perfect for flipping burgers or pancakes on a stubborn griddle. However, after using it for a few weeks, I have mixed feelings about it. One positive aspect of the PS197 is its 3" blade, which allows for easy maneuvering and flipping of smaller items. The 5" blade length also makes it useful for handling larger items without getting too close to the heat. The grip is comfortable and sturdy, but unfortunately, the blade is not as sturdy as I expected. I noticed that the blade begins to bend when I use it on thicker foods, such as steak or pork chops. This makes it difficult to get under the meat and turn it without risking it falling apart. Additionally, the blade rusts easily and requires constant cleaning and oiling. Overall, the American Metalcraft PS197 is a decent turner, but it falls short of my expectations of a heavy-duty tool. Its smaller blade is useful, but the larger blade could use some improvement. If you only plan to use it for smaller items and don't mind the maintenance, then this turner may be the right fit for you.
