I bought this aftermarket belt because it was available the next day. We just can't go without a dryer for more than a few days so I jumped at it even though I try to buy OEM for most things. The belt out of the box was different than the original. it was made of rubber and resembled a very thin serpentine belt. However, he looked quite virginal and strong. It's been a few weeks and a few downloads and it's still working fine. I replaced the bearing at the same time because you can bet it will need to be replaced if your belt fails too. I also believe that replacing this cheap little part will also make the belt run easier. It wasn't an easy setup for me. (not the fault of the straps) There are many great videos on how to do this, but I cut myself and struggled a few times. I'm wondering if some people accidentally damaged the strap they ordered when they went to install? A small nick can potentially damage the belt.
