It's plastic but it doesn't cost $800
Fits well. No instructions which made things a bit more difficult but as a first time truck body owner I figured it out pretty quickly anyway, it's not rocket science. He sits in bed, so he doesn't bump against the covers and gently sways. The plastic is pretty flimsy, but I don't see any heavy tools breaking it unless you have a terrible accident. I just put my rag down and had no problems. It fits a decent amount of tools if you want to tuck them in and dig around, it's a bit cramped for toolbox storage but you can fit a small one or two. truck bed and that's really what we want. For the price I'm satisfied.
