Review on Adorne ASTP1532W4 Three-Way White Wall Switch By Legrand by Matthew Kocur

I am an Electrical contractor, used this line of products in a whole house we remodeled at the customers request, Had a bunch of problems.First the 3 way switches and dimmers do not work unless you install the dimmer in the load side of system (they do not tell you that in wiring diagram) you have to call themSecond the Soft tap dimmers are universal they do incandescent, Magnetic low voltage, Electronic low voltage etc, one of the dimmers controlling 9 recessed low voltage 3" lights burned, (the maximum load is rated at 500 watts, and we had 450 watts in front of it), As some electronic part inside dimmer burned out, the dimmer then burned the 9 low voltage magnetic transformers in front of it.The client (thank god!) Called me and not the fire department, I run up to his house, explained that it was the transformers and that it had been the dimmer failing, and that I was sorry thick and foul smelling smoke had come out of his ceiling, and that his house was not burning downThat night in my dreams I could see the Fireman attacking his house with axes destroying his 2 Million Dollar homeThird, I contacted Adorne LeGrand, they were apologetic, assured me they were going to send me a self stamped box for me to send them the product, the box never arrived and they stop answering my messagesAt the end of the day I spent close to $2000 repairing my client's home, probably will not get reimbursed by LeGrand, but even after that I feel like I dodged the bullet from a much larger headache, or rather nightmare, I will discourage any client attempting to use that line of products
