I am looking to replace my broken 15 year old 32 ounce Pyrex Measuring Cup. I've noticed complaints about the spout but ordered anyway as I prefer this brand to another well known name. Whatever the previous issue with the spout design, it appears to have been resolved and this measure is pouring well. And it survived several tasks in the microwave without any problems. Regarding shielded markings, the manufacturer's product page states that while the mug can be cleaned in the dishwasher, to avoid possible fading of the markings, it should be hand washed. As labeling is necessary and without it much of the benefit is lost, for practical reasons the mug should not be washed in the dishwasher. So far, so good.
