The spiked collar allows me to walk my dog โโwithout tugging, even when distracted by birds or other dogs.
With a notched collar, Teddy our new Border Collie walks without flinching or panting. Why not five stars? Because the collar is difficult to put on or take off when you try to hook or unhook it. Now I just flip the collar over, place it on Teddy's head, and then turn it so the prongs are pointing inward. To remove, I flip the collar over again so the tabs are facing out and then slip it off without hurting Teddy. No effort is required to attach or detach the pins.
