We've used them at home and on trips. One thing remains the same: Every small child is happy about it! We have twins and when we first visited family we wanted to pack them for the trip as they are obsessed with them back home and wish they could at least have that. Wow. Hmm... every kid they met wanted to ride it right away and I've never been more grateful to my kids for learning to share early because this bike is a hot commodity! Take bikes with you to make them feel turned on and compete in little races together! They work well in our home on hardwoods as well as carpet and tile. They also do well outdoors on sidewalks and patio areas. We haven't tried it on grass yet, but I suspect it will work well there as well. We like them so much that we consider them to be the standard birthday present for our peers for years to come. Just joy!
