Tired of the rush to fit winter tires before the first snow. Stores always booked weeks in advance, appointments always took longer than expected, didn't like paying $100 for a car, and lately stores don't even stock tires so you have to lug them home. The same story in the spring to remove the winter tires and remount the all-season tires. As our existing winter tires were nearing the end of their useful life, I decided to buy new winter tires/rims with TPMS sensors and start fitting them myself. This tool enables error-free TPMS switching. Remove all-season tires/rims and mount winter tires/rims. Follow the prompts/instructions on the TS601 - walk around the vehicle, collect TPMS data for each wheel wirelessly, connect the TS601 to the port and it will update the vehicle with new TPMS information. Easy and fast. If you're thinking of doing the same, don't let the TS601's initial price tag put you off. We have 2 Subaru's and in a season we typically spend $400 to put on snow tires in the fall and all season tires in the spring to make the unit pay for itself and then only for the first year.
