Review on 🌪️ Vacmaster Professional Wet/Dry Vacuum, 12-Gallon, Beast Series, 5.5 HP, 2-1/2" Hose (VJH1211PF0201), Black by Michael Zambrano

UPDATE #2: Very impressed with the warranty support. Used Cleva online warranty forms with photos and descriptions of engine problems. Received a response within a day and a notification that a new replacement unit was shipped. Closer inspection of the engine revealed what I believe to be a manufacturing defect on the engine manifold. Still very happy with the device and the company behind their products!------------------------------------ -------------------------------UPDATE: Less than 7 months of fairly typical home workshop use, the engine suddenly made noise and when cleaning the floor in the garage, the power began to go off. Shut down immediately after a few puffs that signal overheating. The filter has been checked, the filter is in good condition, there are no clogs. Of course, remove the engine cover and it sparkles like the 4th of July. Looks like one of the brushes has a chipped edge and the commutator is dirty. I have submitted a warranty release through the Vacmaster website and will update it if/when I get a response from them. The "5 year warranty" was a big plus. Let's hope they replace the motor or the entire power head. Because I still like The Beast. I will deduct a few stars and update the rating when I hear from the manufacturer. -------------- ----------- ------ ----- -------- ----------- -----------Very happy with the suction power of this unit. I like the large rocker-style power button that's hard to miss. After 3 months of fairly stable use in the domestic lumber shop and general household, this was an excellent value purchase. The only comment relates to the hose and wand extensions. Compared to the 2.5" Craftsman it replaced, the Vacmaster hose/tube design is thinner and requires more care/force when connecting to ensure a secure fit. It's definitely not worth downgrading, but it's a noticeable compromise in build quality. The roles are very easy to set up and the whole unit was up and running within minutes. The reel's size and placement ensures smooth rotation when full and no fear of the lid tipping over when the canister is empty. I also used it to remove a large water stain from carpet and the alternative foam filter worked really well. Since I was working in a tight space, I added a "silencer" to the exhaust port and didn't notice much of a difference in "intake", nor did it get much quieter. Definitely happy with the purchase. .
