Review on πŸ”§ Motorcraft FG-1114 Fuel Filter Assembly - Set of 2 (2 Pack) by Chris Munns

Revainrating 3 out of 5

This filter does not come with the plastic clip required for one side of the fuel line. Buy it locally, it costs around the same $

This filter does not come with the plastic clip you need for one side of the fuel line. You can buy them at an auto parts store but if you buy this filter at an auto parts store it comes with 4 or 6 clips, I don't remember exactly but you only need one. On the other side there is a permanent clip built into the fuel line and you will need to use a tool to disconnect that side. From now on I will buy this filter in the parts trade or from the dealer. If you are very careful and the old clip has not become too brittle, you can remove it and reuse it; However, I would always prefer to use a new clip. If you reuse a very cheap plastic clip that is NOT designed to last, it can break due to vibration and fall out. Or it could just break and come loose (this has happened to me) and you'll start leaking while driving. Because of this, fuel leaks in the area of your exhaust. This time I bought some filters from Revain because they are about $2 less than buying them locally. Now that I have to buy the clips separately, replacing the filter costs me an extra $2-3. C'est La Vie :-) We live and learn.
