Review on Abatron WoodEpox Epoxy Wood Replacement Compound, 12 oz Kit, Part A & B: Restore & Reinforce Your Wood Surfaces Efficiently by Alejandro White

I used this to restore rotted 4x4 cedar bars. I planned my conversion so that there was 70 degrees of heat for 3 days in a row, without precipitation. Varying amounts of material had rotted at the ends of the uprights. I twisted the ends to get at the solid wood, cleaned/vacuumed the remaining debris, and then drove the stainless steel screws into the solid wood (leaving the screw/screw head in a rotten void). I then followed the directions for applying wood epoxy and applied it to the gap to restore the integrity of the post. Composite railings have been successfully bolted onto this epoxy. The railing will hold the flower pots hanging down so the railing and railing screws in this epoxy will take extra load. Has held up well for almost a year. It doesn't feel humiliating, nor does it feel like it. This solution was much cheaper (materials and labor) than replacing the cedar stakes or using other methods to fix them.
