Worked great on cat scratches. even easy enough for this newbie

I used this to repair deep nicks my cat scratched in the MDF surface at our rental (see photo). I have never used wood filler or epoxy so I did a little research before purchasing this product. It turned out to be very easy to use and the results were amazing. I used vinyl gloves to mix the 2 materials in my hands and just estimated the amount; I spent quite a bit of money on my renovation. It didn't feel sticky enough initially, but after a little pressure/work it stuck well. I shaped it by…

Better than a wooden spatula!

I was building a pressure treated wood deck to the best of my craftsmanship and was disappointed when the wood sags leaving gaps in the beveled corners. I tried wood spatula (inside/outside). The color was good but the putty dried out and didn't fill the gap well. Then I tried WoodEpox and it filled in the gaps perfectly. Very dry. However, once dry, it turns bright white, requiring additional touch-ups as the deck has been painted. I would prefer it to be in the tan to brown range. One more…

A unique epoxy that works perfectly!

I used this to restore rotted 4x4 cedar bars. I planned my conversion so that there was 70 degrees of heat for 3 days in a row, without precipitation. Varying amounts of material had rotted at the ends of the uprights. I twisted the ends to get at the solid wood, cleaned/vacuumed the remaining debris, and then drove the stainless steel screws into the solid wood (leaving the screw/screw head in a rotten void). I then followed the directions for applying wood epoxy and applied it to the gap to…

Beware! Do not use for major repairs.

Manufacturer's instructions for mixing A and B in equal parts by volume gives unreliable results. Both parts are very crumbly and compressible. If you try to scoop equal volumes of each part from its respective container with a utility tool, you cannot avoid squeezing each part. This makes estimating the same volume by eye very unreliable and mostly results in brittle mixtures resulting in weak and irreparable repairs. Mixing parts A and B by relative weight based on their respective densities…

Best Wood Filler to Match Existing Wood Profile

This product is great when you need to adjust a rotting wood profile. I used it to fix a rotten wood corner of a door that I thought would be impossible to fix without replacing the wood. Unlike some epoxies it has a long working life and is easy to sand, especially Drexel Multi-Max. You can shape it with tools. I actually used a colored pencil and popsicle sticks to match the existing door edges. You need to make sure you mix the two parts well and get a solid brown. If you don't mix well, you

It is a good product that turns into a very stable substance when it dries.

In general this is a good product that once dried turns into a very stable substance, very hard, easy to work with and to color. But it doesn't work like the traditional putty I used. Due to its chewy yet pliable consistency, it is not always easy to work with. Once I pushed it into the hole I was filling, I had a hard time rubbing it with a spatula to line it up with the top edge of the hole. Not realizing how difficult it would be to level it with a putty knife, I ended up pouring too much…
