This heating pad is on my bedside table. This is the gadget that allows me to stay in bed in the morning and enjoy a great cup of coffee without having to keep getting up to microwave it back to drinking temperature. I like the safety of pure gravity activation and chose it for that reason alone. I think it's safer. The only thing I would change is how it resets to a lower temp each time. Personally, the coldest temperature is just right for me. I don't want a hot drink. Note, however, that the selected temperature should be maintained until another temperature is selected. Maybe there is a security reason for this. But I like it very much and recommend the coffee warmer wherever it is consumed. Addendum: This heater completely died after a few weeks of use.
