Good, but with a downside - drink warmer

Keeps coffee at maximum temperature in a ceramic mug. When you pick up a cup, the warmer will turn off automatically. If you put the cup back the heating comes back on but at the lowest setting so every time I take a sip of coffee I have to press the button twice to bring it back up to the highest heat setting. Why didn't they design it to turn on with the same settings as when it turned off?

Thought of a return

Very elegant, easy to use and one of the few cup warmers available at 50c so I bought it. I received it today and it's easy to use. Now the annoying part. Every time I pick up the cup and put it down again, it's set to a lower level, so I have to keep pressing the button. Good news: on the highest setting, my cup feels very warm (it has a slight rim at the bottom and the contents stay warm, but the liquid isn't hot enough. I seem to like my tea warmer than the recommended 135 Degree). Q…

4.5 Just a minor bug

I hate not giving this device 5 stars because it's almost perfect. It looks good, has a low profile and clicks well when I place the mug on the warmer. It keeps my coffee hot on my desk and most importantly turns off when the cup is removed. This is great because I used to have a heater that I had to turn off manually and for fear of leaving it on all weekend I had to put a note on the door reminding me to turn it off manually every day. It changed my routine. I linger longer over my coffee without getting distracted by running to the microwave.

This heating pad is on my bedside table. This is the gadget that allows me to stay in bed in the morning and enjoy a great cup of coffee without having to keep getting up to microwave it back to drinking temperature. I like the safety of pure gravity activation and chose it for that reason alone. I think it's safer. The only thing I would change is how it resets to a lower temp each time.
