When I had burned enough kettles on the stove, I decided I needed a small electric one. That's great. Just the right size for two cups (or 1.5 cups), boils quickly, runs quietly but you can hear the simmer just before the pot shuts off (hint: it's pouring time!). Its footprint on the small stand is just as small. If we ever go back to office work, its footprint on my desk will be minimal, allowing me to drink tea all day. The only potential snag is that the spout was so sharp the first time I washed it that I cut my finger. I'm more careful with him now. All in all a very satisfactory purchase.
