I first bought it for the tourist season earlier this year, something new for our group night games. It was a big hit, especially with kids because what 6-year-old doesn't love exploding kittens? (At least conceptually.) It took a little explanation and practice to get the kids up to speed, but after that they ruled the table like ruthless sociopathic kids. They won't hesitate to throw you in the way of an exploding kitty card. Seriously, this is a great game for both kids and adults, so ideal for family game nights. Children can play at the same level as adults and they love it. I ended up donating my original game to a few games at the AMC cabin on our last group hike (shout Lonely Lake). Now I'm grabbing another one before the holidays because I have a lot of meetings to do and I hate small talk. Instead of embarrassingly listening to Uncle Fred's latest tirade, or worse, getting drunk enough to engage him in conversation (shudder), I can cause exploding kittens.
