I bought two of these for a refurbished aluminum V hull. They are very well made with fantastic folding and simple design. I mounted them on a simple seatpost and bracket that allows them to pivot. I'm 180 pounds at 5ft 10" and they have given me great support without worrying about flex or structural breakdown. I didn't need to reinforce the floor with plywood or anything. Simply insert the included screws directly into the plastic mounting holes. For anything over 200 pounds I would first attach a piece of 1/2 inch thick plywood to all 8 or so mounting holes and then mount the seat. This would help distribute the load across the points. The only things that push the comfort down to 4 stars. If you need metal stud to metal stud contact you can install some spiral coils on the bottom.
