I bought this tank to replace the North Face tank that I bought with my backpack from Costco. takes up as much space as the 2 liter tank it replaces. I think it's partly because of the divider in the middle that keeps it flat. I took it on two hikes the first weekend after I got it in the mail. It's very well made, not a drop spilled, and I love the fill/seal mechanism, especially when compared to CamelBak chambers which are almost impossible to fill without spilling. I don't worry about draining or cleaning after hiking. - I just put it in the fridge and that saved it from the bad smell. I did not use the hose/valve - I reused the insulated replacement version for my North Face that I bought a while back. I keep it just in case. Overall, this is a well-made product from a dedicated and customer-centric manufacturer.
