Review on Tripp Lite DisplayPort Switch B005 DPUA2 K by Jose Haskin

There are reviews of this and other HDMI versions of mouse and keyboard emulation to enable hot buttons and switch mouse to side screen between devices, which is not good . Personally, I don't use this feature and prefer to use a USB 3.0 hub on the front. This works very well. Switching between devices is as smooth as you would expect. I have a gaming pc with a gsync monitor and graphics cards and everything works fine. I'm also an audiophile. I am using the PC audio output. My motherboard has a really nice built in DAC and it met my needs with an analog headphone amp output. This device adds a lot of noise to the audio output, so it's not that pleasant. In any case, I was thinking of an external high quality DAC that would solve the problem, but they really needed to test that. Adding a fair amount of shielding to the internal wiring should prevent this. This was to be expected though, so I'll just look into it and spend more money on a really good DAC.
