Works well with a few small issues

I love the compact size of this unit - it's about half the size of my old KVM which I used to switch between my old MacPro and a Windows 7 - Change PC. These PCs required DVI ports and my new build of Windows 10 only had HDMI or DP 1.4 ports. Luckily my MacPro also has a mini-DP port so this device along with the adapter is a good solution for my needs as I now have a 1440p ultra wide monitor and with my RX 6800 full DP 1.4 bandwidth Switching is best done using the front panel selection…

Maybe it's good if they update their documentation fairly

So, I'm still waiting for an answer from Tripp-Lite support to my question, but I think I'll write a review now , as this is a very short-sighted move on their part: the documentation is very poor. KVM works, I can connect my Dell WD19TB docking station to "PC1" and my gaming desktop to PC2. Due to how the dock works, I had to play around with the refresh rate a bit to get my second monitor to work (which only works with the dock, not KVM, but I think they have a model that can display two…

The one I have doesn't do what it's supposed to do

I like the design. I wanted it to work. But I can't use it due to two issues: 1) My Microsoft Comfort wired mouse is just ignored when plugged into the rear USB port marked Mouse. Maybe the port is dead? In order to use my computers, I need to connect a mouse to the front panel. Therefore, when switching computers, there are many device detection operations. 2) Sometimes it goes into a state where both computers are connected and the little green lights show they are connected, but the toggle…

KVM works well - sounds loud

There are reviews of this and other HDMI versions of mouse and keyboard emulation to enable hot buttons and switch mouse to side screen between devices, which is not good . Personally, I don't use this feature and prefer to use a USB 3.0 hub on the front. This works very well. Switching between devices is as smooth as you would expect. I have a gaming pc with a gsync monitor and graphics cards and everything works fine. I'm also an audiophile. I am using the PC audio output. My motherboard has…

Excellent KVM, use 8k cable with 5k2k to DisplayPort with 4 lanes x 8 gig

This KVM is a bit imprecise in the documentation which is why some people are having trouble with it. I have a much higher end KVM which I replaced with this Tripp Lite model thinking it might perform better. It's better in every way. But you need to know how accurate is DP 1.4 through KVM. Tips for getting the best results with this KVM: Use much higher quality DP cables than you think. Standard DP cables do not work well with DP-KVM. I used 8k Revain cables for this and they work great. Any…
