Review on πŸ”΅ Brother P-Touch PTM95 Handy Label Maker - Navy Blue with 9 Type Styles & 8 Deco Mode Patterns in Blue Gray by Corey Michaels

Uncomfortable but compact; medium quality

I bought this on sale for ten points. Definitely not worth more! The use is quite impractical because of the small knobs. The print quality is just ok. Brother has machines of various resolutions, this is one of the cheapest but it doesn't matter as it's a commodity. Compared to older machines, there are some nice icons to decorate your labels with. The font selection is Pedestrian. However, changing the font to "BOLD" definitely changes readability. So you're really better off buying another model with a standard size band. This one uses small ribbons and the standard Brother ribbon for this machine is really poorly constructed as it doesn't have a split backing that allows you to peel off the backing before applying the label. You can use a box cutter or other thin blade to start the corner, but it's really a pain. Luckily some of the cloned tapes (which are also cheaper) have a split back - ask before you buy. , sizes and colors. I also bought a pt-D400 machine. It's a little bigger, but better in every way (and a lot more expensive). You should also consider purchasing a computer-connected model if you intend to create complex labels such as barcodes. So it's not bad for the price, but look for a slightly larger model that uses standard straps. Cloning tapes work great on both machines I bought.
