Ordering this for my Jeep as I broke my old one. I like the telescope function, although it's not very easy to use. There are three locking positions, which are produced by drilling three holes in the aluminum handle and inserting a plastic tongue for the thumb into it (see illustration). It doesn't slide very smoothly unless the tab is pushed in, but then it's difficult to find the hole unless you let go of the tab. Also, the tab is cheap plastic, so remains to be seen how long it will last before it breaks. The brush rotates at various angles, of which I only found 2 positions useful (90° and 360°). Also, the brush isn't very stiff, so it can't cope with a lot of heavy snow. All in all it's good for light snow and does the de-icing, but I was definitely considering better brushes. So if you are looking for an economical brush, this might be for you. If you're willing to shell out the extra $20 for something better, keep shopping as I've reviewed much better.
