When hand shears can get the job done, Fisker's PowerGear is the answer. But if you have shrubs or trees that need pruning, Fiskers says the job will be "three times easier." Not sure how they measure "3x lighter" but secateurs make the job easier. I believe you will be happy with your purchase. We have five acres of woods and would like the trees cut from dead wood so we can walk in the woods. Our original pair of PowerGear secateurs are five years old and still work. like new. Recently my wife suggested buying a second pair so we could work together. So now we have the His & Her PowerGear Secateurs. Shortly after I wrote the above review, a pair of garden shears, five years old, broke while trimming a pine branch. The side of the anvil, which the company says is made of nylon, is simply broken. No problem. Fiskers offers a lifetime warranty on its products. All I had to do was file a claim by emailing a photo of the broken secateurs. A new pair arrived in the mail today; free and free shipping. I know the current description advertises a 10-year limited warranty, but the new pair lists a lifetime warranty on the label.
