I got a new bamboo cheese board for Christmas and wanted to protect the wood. Found this food grade mineral oil and applied multiple coats over the course of 4-5 days. This product was perfect for the job. It has protected the wood and actually looks better with this treatment. Yes it is an oil that needs to be applied and I tried a paper towel which worked but I felt that using my bare fingers was better for feeling and rubbing in the oil. It was easy to clean my hands. So far I am very happy with this product and very much look forward to having it on hand for future treatments. This bottle will go a long way!
