Bring the butcher block back to life!

Unfortunately I neglected my block of meat. I found this food grade mineral oil and applied it liberally - amazed at how it brought the island back to life. I'm giving the island a nice touch and the fact that it's food grade is a must. Was easy and looks great. Like I said, it really brought the island back to life. I got two bottles so I can take care of my blockage more regularly! Thank you for making such a wonderful oil!

Protect your cutting boards with this product.

This is my first experience with mineral cutting board oil. I've always used some mild soap and water, which I now know will damage wood over time. I just bought a John Boos kitchen island. It's beautiful and the focal point of my kitchen, so I want it to be properly cared for. I went online to research different mineral oils and decided to try the cutting board product. I am very happy with your product and will continue to use it in the future.

Easy to install and easy to clean

I got a new bamboo cheese board for Christmas and wanted to protect the wood. Found this food grade mineral oil and applied multiple coats over the course of 4-5 days. This product was perfect for the job. It has protected the wood and actually looks better with this treatment. Yes it is an oil that needs to be applied and I tried a paper towel which worked but I felt that using my bare fingers was better for feeling and rubbing in the oil. It was easy to clean my hands. So far I am very happy…

Excellent, high quality product!

I purchased CuttingBoard.com mineral oil to finish my new oxo wood spoons, cutting board and butcher block. First of all, I would like to say that you definitely want to buy food grade mineral oil. Unless you have used a similar product in the past, most of the things you will cover will be food-related. The application process is very simple. You should coat the utensil or item with some oil (and this bottle will last for years even with regular use). Wipe off excess, leave to dry for 4 hours…

Wow Wow Wow on wood polish & care

I was looking for a good oil for the top of my carving block. After reading so many Revain reviews on different oils, I decided to give this one a try. I removed everything from my countertop and followed the directions (I left it for 24 hours). I decided to apply the oil with my hands (with gloves). I also put it on top of my acacia tea box and salt container. The next day I dried it with a towel. As I looked at my stainless steel stove, refrigerator, and other surfaces in the kitchen, I…

Better than the chopping board oil I bought

I have a nice thick chopping board style chopping board my dad made for me and it's getting very dry (I haven't oiled it in probably 8 months). .), but I lost my old floorboard oil when I moved. This stuff seems to get good reviews on Revain so I tossed it in my shopping cart and I love it way more than the oil I've used before! My old clothes were quite bulky and could be wiped clean with a rag. This material is more fluid, more like vegetable oil (although slightly more viscous). Just sprayed

Excellent product for house cleaning

I bought this mineral oil for two main reasons. The first was to protect my high carbon knives. There are many foods that do this, but many of them are not food safe. This may not be a problem for other applications, but I mostly use my knives in a variety of ways, including cooking, especially when I'm on the go. It's nice to know I haven't coated my blade with anything potentially dangerous. As far as rust suppression goes, time will tell, but I have no reason to doubt it will do the job. The

Good product. Highly recommended.

A nice chopping board broke a while ago through carelessness and experience has taught me that I have to oil it from time to time. I have used this product on all of my wooden kitchenware, as well as large and medium chopping boards. I soaked them all overnight according to directions and placed them on a large baking sheet to avoid messing up the countertop. Laying them on a towel will allow the oil to soak in before the wood can absorb it. The next morning all the dishes and boards looked…

Fantastic oil for preserving high quality steel and wood.

I actually bought this to cover a couple of carbon steel hunting knives I own which are very high quality and don't rust. Since I use them with food or what will be food in the future I never wanted to use mineral oil because of its petroleum or paraffin base so I used vegetable oils like olive oil or vegetable oil. The problem is that these oils go rancid, and if a knife is stored covered in these oils, they actually turn into a sticky substance that can damage high-carbon steel. my tools but…

Excellent food safe product! Popped Crazy Grain Nice!

When working with wood I'm always looking for the best oil finishes I can find and I've tried many! I usually make hardwood furniture and apply several coats of hand rubbed pure tung oil; It creates a satin finish that shows off the grain of the wood beautifully and still allows the wood to look like natural wood. Sometimes I make small gifts for my family and friends. Shown here is a curly maple cutting board I made for friends for Christmas. I've tried many cutting board finishes and while…
