Review on 🌐 High-Gain Waterproof GPS Active Antenna - 28dB, 3-5VDC, SMA Connector by Brian Gopalan

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Good antenna, but first check the type of antenna connection.

An external antenna improves GPS accuracy, especially in the forest. With the antenna fitted to my Garmin Montana 680t, I typically found an accuracy of 9 feet when using GPS, GLONASS, and WAAS. I use a ground plane to optimize reception (a small sheet of copper foil a few square centimeters is held magnetically under the antenna head). I've found that the accuracy doesn't change between open space and forest cover (at the time it was trees in foliage). My only complaint is that this unit has a BNC connector that needs to be matched to my Montana MCX antenna connector; The Garmin antenna (I discovered it later) connects directly and requires no adjustment; This is the only reason for only four stars.
