Fully functional GPS antenna.

This is a great machine. It looks like it's waterproof (I won't test it!) and strong enough. Good SMA connector. Signals received very well. By the way, this is NOT a dual band GNSS antenna. It only receives GPS and GLONASS, not Galileo. He didn't claim it, so it's not the unit's fault. Dual band antennas tend to be much more expensive.

Exactly what I needed.

I'm putting together an electrical kit in which I need to integrate an external GPS antenna. The cable is long enough, the size of the antenna is pretty hidden and I appreciate the magnetic base. I tested the device in my basement, which is not the best place to get a GPS signal. The antenna was connected within a few minutes. Very impressive! Remember that this antenna does not work alone. You need to power it through the SMA connector.

Excellent quality, in Antennas

If you want a basic outdoor GPS antenna, this is a great product. This is a great little antenna to use with a GPS module, especially in a car or anywhere with a view of the sky, that's what it's advertised as. Build quality appears to be better than most in the sub-$20 range and was surprisingly good overall. If you are looking for an antenna that will work indoors near a window, look for a higher gain antenna even though it will cost more.

Good antenna, but first check the type of antenna connection.

An external antenna improves GPS accuracy, especially in the forest. With the antenna fitted to my Garmin Montana 680t, I typically found an accuracy of 9 feet when using GPS, GLONASS, and WAAS. I use a ground plane to optimize reception (a small sheet of copper foil a few square centimeters is held magnetically under the antenna head). I've found that the accuracy doesn't change between open space and forest cover (at the time it was trees in foliage). My only complaint is that this unit has a

Far superior to identical products

I bought a car radio that I really liked and it came with a GPS antenna, but I had very poor GPS reception in my SUV. The GPS signal app I downloaded showed poor connection to 3 or 4 out of 12 satellites. My phone also had terrible GPS reception in this particular car, so I don't think it was actually the GPS antenna that came with the car stereo. After reading the reviews of this antenna I decided to give it a try even though it looked almost identical to the one that came with my stereo. Wow…

It's Alive!: GPS, viewfinder and accessories

The product works as it should. I am using it with a Raspberry Pi 3B+ ham radio project. However, I have serious concerns about the quality of the coax cable and SMA connector. They are a cheap stamped crimp design and the crimp appears to be loose as I can already see the cable electrically loosening in use. I had to secure the cable to keep it from moving and being pulled out all the way. In my opinion, this is due to the low weight of the coaxial cable for the device and at least an…
