The camera itself works fine, but there are a few things to note, at least for use with the ESP8266.1. Use 5V although 3v3 is acceptable. I notice much better image quality at 5v.2. I could not upload the sketch with the camera connected. I need to unplug the 5V wire, upload the sketch, and then reconnect the wire on startup.3. Don't expect to get the full output speed described in the specs with a microcontroller. It takes almost 6 seconds to get a 5MP frame with ESP. (200k jpg) Overall a great camera, just wish I could upload sketches with it.
