Meh, use 61 01(/02) 200 instead of
Even within the nominal cut range, they were frustratingly hopeless. They are more expensive but I strongly recommend buying 61 01 200 or 61 02 200 (comfort grip version) instead. The last two tools easily cut 20 times the wire/nail cross-section of the 50 01 180, including hardened nails/wire (which completely outperforms the 50 01 200), with impressively low forces and virtually no backlash.
