These socks are not waterproof. I wouldn't even call them waterproof. I bought a couple of these for my husband and I to walk the Narrows in Zion National Park. We both have Keen waterproof walking shoes so I figured these neoprene socks would save us the hassle of renting socks/shoes when we get there. As soon as we entered the river, the water soaked the socks in 10 seconds. I will say the socks did an excellent job of keeping the water in our socks and shoes because every time we ran the next 10 miles we ended up squeezing water between our toes and under the balls of our feet. When we finally finished, both of our feet were white and trimmed, and we poured about 1/4 cup of water out of each sock. I literally threw them in the trash in Utah. Don't waste money.
