Coconut husk is thick and strong. Ladder and jute knitting are very good. My lovebirds like to sit on it and nest in it. Excellent purchase! The sink is great, but DO NOT use a straw. The lovebird got caught in it immediately; The straw, which was too coarse and stiff, meant that the bird could not free itself. I had to remove the fibrous straw. So 4 stars - 5+ for the coconut shell, 2 for the straw. Do your bird a favor and throw away the straw.
