I thought $24 might be enough for a good 5 inch knife. I was wrong. You know how to cut or chop, you put the knife down for a second and when you pick it up again you know instantly where the sharp edge is. Not so with this knife. My arm is weighted, so most of the time the edge is up when I'm about to cut. The knife is great and comes in a very nice box. I think the blade is probably exactly what they say. It has a good edge and cuts really well when I'm not holding it upside down. Didn't have enough time to appreciate it but too long to return it. It cuts well but looks lousy. I thought that was my regular knife, instead I use it when the other one gets dirty.
