I'm grateful not to be writing a review on how well this works. I didn't have to smash my windshield or cut my seat belt. But it has a durable plastic that feels good in the hand. The metal parts seem strong and efficient in case I need them. It's actually a tool to have on hand in the car if you're in a situation where you can't get out of the car by normal means. Having this on hand makes me feel prepared and the item seems reliable and ready to take on the task should the situation arise.
