Review on ๐Ÿš— Detroit Axle 2pc Set: Front Wheel Bearing Hub Assembly Replacement for Chevy Trailblazer, Isuzu Ascender, Olds Bravada, GMC Envoy, Buick Rainier w/ABS by Jim Ledbetter

Revainrating 1 out of 5

No problems so far, recommended (Edit: Problems encountered)

I installed them on my wife's Saab (mostly a fancy TrailBlazer). No fit problems. The job was done with basic tools on my driveway. Easy do-it-yourself repair with little time to watch how-to videos online. Not sure about the quality over time but they weren't too expensive and still seem to do the job. Installed about three months prior to this review. Update because it deserves an update. I've replaced virtually every front suspension component on this car and found that after just under 3 years of use and maybe 10,000 miles (mostly home from work) the bearings had failed. I did a wheel alignment after the front work and the guys at the shop who did the wheel alignment told me they were "afraid to drive this thing anywhere". They asked me if they were Detroit Axle before I even said anything because it wasn't the first time they had this experience with this brand. I'm deducting a lot of stars for this rating. I'm sure it doesn't matter to DA from a business perspective, but if they can make sure their warranty replacement isn't terrible I'll happily update it back to a positive. Just walking around it is what it is and I wouldn't recommend it again.

Pros
  • Kit includes: 2 front hub assemblies
Cons
  • So-so
