In Master's Charger World, it's Cat Meow. I need a 3 amp charger so I can use it on my lawn mower, truck and tractor battery. Also, I didn't need a 6V charger, so I chose this one because it can charge 12V lead-acid, gel, and li-ion batteries. This charger will display the current battery level in % and then proceed to charge and display the % of battery level in real time! When the battery level reaches 100%, the charger will stop charging and automatically enter auto maintenance mode and display this message. I use this for my AGM 650 cca truck battery, 840 cca tractor lead acid battery and 250 cca AGM lawnmower battery. Schumacher technical support will tell you that it cannot be used for large batteries, but they do not know their product. I suspect they don't know much about their chargers because they don't use them; The chargers are made in China and I am assuming the engineers making their chargers are also Chinese and probably because the Chinese now own Schumacher and are just letting US customer service continue as a goodwill gesture. The woman who answered the call didn't even know how to navigate her own website! The technician said this charger will not charge my 840cca or 640cca batteries. I've been using their 1.5 amp charger for my 650cca, 840cca and 250cca batteries for over 20 years so I knew the 3 amp charger would charge well and now I have one that keeps track of the state of charge the battery shows. This charger service technician is the best I know. The slower the battery charges, the better the battery life
