Purchased to replace a rusted and worn original bracket. It looked pretty good, but as soon as I installed the spar and tightened it to keep the wheel from moving, it broke. The sides are made of plastic, one side is completely embossed. Absolute nonsense IMHO. Save yourself the headache and buy a more expensive and stronger one. I'm so fed up with everything being plastic these days. Plastic scrap that should be metal! This keeps the 50 pound tire under the truck. What happens if the thing breaks and the spare tire flies onto the freeway? Don't buy this cheap POS made in China!
