I'm not a professional painter but I think we've all dealt with bad quality paint rollers that have fallen off and the like. I didn't have that with this set. It works as intended and I had no problems. No chipping or anything that could ruin the paint finish. As with any painting project, you need to prepare your space for painting, starting with a clean surface. Make sure you have the right amount of paint on the roller and wait between coats and you should be fine. However, the reels spin easily on the stick and the fact that there are many heads is beyond nice. I bought a similar item with only 2 sponges at a hardware store for $13 so well worth it.
