There is no top bar, strong overall.

I have a 2015 Ford Taurus PI, installation will require some modifications such as cutting out some grilles, diamond bumper fins on transmission cooler. Came with the top bar missing, had to spend an extra $30 for something advertised in the picture and not mentioned in the description. Overall it's pretty solid and heavy. Probably hard work for 1.5 hours.
