Dangerous/Hazardous Enamel glass interior shattered in coffee/tea

This is our second kettle. The first lasted many years. It went like this for a month! A major concern is the peeling of enameled glass, which can be digested. The photo shows different sizes. Check out other similar reviews reporting the same issue. That is the first and most important message. Second, pay attention to the promotional claim: High quality "boiler" enamel lining provides added strength for lasting performance. In the long term, 2 months would have to mean for this statement to be true! The third is customer support. Good news, they were very responsive - speed but not a satisfactory resolution. Due to the failure a month later, I was expecting a replacement. Chantal Corp's April 21, 2021 response posited the cause as heat stroke ("corresponding to heat stroke"). Read: Corresponds to operator error, not manufacturing error! How could Chantal even remotely admit possible guilt at risk, especially given her publicity statement! For this operator, we still use the first kettle because we have not had thermal shock problems for many years. Chantal didn't fix the rust. My guess is that the enamel has come loose from the metal and corrosion has made things worse, so the enamel has come loose. Warranty - They said it was not covered under warranty. And they will offer another one for $75! If it could lead to dangerous consequences due to operator error (heat stroke), why would anyone spend a dollar on this product? Kettle! What is there to guarantee? What about melt failure? Conclusion: The teapot is beautiful; the whistle corresponds to the declared one; there are dangerous problems in the interior; Chantal has a very polite and quick response but not satisfactory. Buy this for a display or as a flower pot. If someone uses it, run the liquid through a paper filter until the cause is actually determined.
