Chantal Stainless Steel Classic Teakettle Review

Bought this kettle 4 years ago. I spent extra money on a copper kettle and thought it would be a great addition to all the other copper in my kitchen. I regret this purchase. I have a lot of copper kitchen utensils and know very well how to take care of copper. However, even with great care and following the company's instructions, copper will wear out. I now have a stained copper teapot that makes me angry every time I think about it, which happens quite often since I use it every day. Too bad

My first classic Chantal stainless steel kettle lasted over 10 years so I wasn't upset when he failed. I replaced it with a second stainless steel classic teapot less than a year ago which was a huge disappointment. It has a small but constant leak at the bottom of the seam where the spout connects to the body of the kettle. It flows silently into the kettle and fills my gas stove. I will never buy this product again. Within 3 months of purchase and after minimal use the paint was chipping on the outside and inside of the kettle. It could no longer be used as the interior paint was peeling off from the water. The teapot was also rusty on the inside where the paint had peeled off.
